VARIETALS. 54% Sangiovese, 35% Graciano & 11% Malbec.

VINEYARDS. The Sangiovese is from Machado Creek Vineyard in Morgan Hill, The Graciano is from The Terra Alta Vineyard in Clements Hills, and the Malbec is from Red Tail Vineyard in Paso Robles.

WINEMAKING. All three grape lots were pressed and barrel-fermented separately, with just enough skin contact to create the beautiful salmon lustre. This wine is named after Owner Leslie Pantling's daughter - Mattie Rose.

Aroma: Delightful aromas of fresh ripe strawberries, cut roses and tropical fruit mingle with flavors of watermelon, and guava
Palate: a dry and refreshingly crisp and juicy minerality that lingers on the palate.

FOOD PAIRING. Prosciutto and melon, seafood bouillabaisse, niçoise salad with seared tuna steaks, linguine with spicy mussels and clams, cedar plank salmon, or a berry tart with fresh cream.

Leslie Pantling (Owner), Mattie Rose,
& Baby Cassidy Rose at the Estate Vineyard

"When I was 13 years old, Picchetti made its first rosé wine. My mother proudly named it after me, and it's been so fun making it year after year. I'm not always involved with the wine making process, but I do have the honor of choosing the final blend and color for each vintage of Mattie Rosé. It's one of our most popular wines, and I am truly proud and humble to see so many folks enjoying it on our grounds. My daughter, Cassidy Rose, will no doubt have her own wine someday too." - Mattie Rose Small
