2021 Graciano
Description
VARIETAL. 100% GracianoVINEYARD. Terra Alta Vineyard, Clements Hills. Lodi.
WINEMAKING. Positioned between the San Francisco Bay and the Sierra Nevada Mountain range, the Clements Hills appellation, while relatively far inland, is able to maintain a classic Mediterranean climate featuring warm, sunny days and cool evenings. 10-months of aging in a combination of French & American oak (33% new barrels), has resulted in a wonderful expression of this Spanish varietal.
TASTING
Aroma: Aromatic herbs such as rosemary, sage, bay leaves and thyme, with notes of blackberry and black cherry.
Palate: Deep purple in color with exotic flavors reminiscent of dark chocolate, licorice, and fennel seed. Balanced acidity and tannins.
FOOD PAIRING. Graciano was originally grown in the Rioja region of Spain, a country known for its culinary delights. Enjoy with Spanish tapas such as marinated olives, sliced iberico ham, manchego cheese, mussels and spanish chorizo, or paella.
