2020 Brut Zinfandel
Description
VARIETAL. 100% Zinfandel
VINEYARD. Summers’ Ranch, Gilroy.
WINEMAKING. This Zinfandel is picked mega ripe and bursting with flavor at about 30 brix. The wine is fermented in tank on the grape skins, and then barrel aged in neutral oak barrels for 10-months. The wine is then transferred back to tank where it is cold stabilized, and held at 30°F. While the wine is cold, C02 is added and then it is bottled under pressure.
TASTING
Aroma: Zesty red fruit flavors of raspberry, cherry, and cranberry, with hints of violet, dusty cocoa and baking spices.
Palate: It is rich and full in the mouth, with a frothy effervescence that sweeps across the tongue, and a dancing mousse that gives it a delicious lift.
FOOD PAIRING. Pop the cork and enjoy with your favorite pizza, spaghetti & meatballs, a smoked pork shoulder, baked gouda mac n cheese, or a mushroom truffle risotto.
