Bright and enticing, the latest bottling of our custom white blend incorporates the unique characteristics of three separate varietals - Chardonnay, Viognier & Sauvignon Blanc.
The Chardonnay is sourced from the lofty heights of our Montebello Estate Vineyard and forms a fruit-forward base of apple and pear with hints of butterscotch and freshly baked bread, the Viognier contributes the lush aromatics, and the Sauvignon Blanc brings a crisp acidity to the mix. Each lot was vinified and barrel-aged separately in French oak (50% new barrels) to supplement its sophisticated fruit profile, and then blended prior to bottling.
It has a fragrant bouquet reminiscent of a summer garden, with overflowing jasmine, violets and blossoming orange trees, and the palate is a fruit cocktail of white peaches, apricots and Asian pears, with a luscious mouthfeel that is delicately balanced by a crisp dry finish. A cornucopia of tropical fruits!
A “Double Gold” medal winner and recipient of the "Best in Class - White Blend” award at the 2020 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition, this medium-bodied white wine is very versatile and will pair beautifully with a wide variety of dishes — from your favorite savory appetizers to spicy Thai or Indian cuisine. In our signature “Pavone” bottle (Pavone translates from Italian to Peacock in English), it makes the perfect hostess gift.
