Picnics at Picchetti

The Picchetti Winery and Winery grounds are a private business that operate under a cooperative lease with the Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District. Picchetti provides a public picnic area on the grounds from 11AM-5PM daily. The Picchetti Winery grounds close to the public promptly at 5PM daily.

  • Picchetti provides 10 public picnic tables that seat 6-8 people each.
  • These tables are available on a first come, first serve basis.
  • One table per group only.
  • Sorry, but no dogs are allowed on the public grounds.
  • Please do not feed the peacocks.
  • No other alcoholic beverages allowed on the grounds
  • Please supervise your children at all times for their safety.
  • No ball games or lawn furniture are allowed on the winery grounds.

    Leased from the District, the historic Picchetti Winery is the place to come for a superior wine-tasting experience in one of California's oldest wineries. The historic buildings delight vistors in their beautiful setting adjacent to the District's Montebello Open Space Preserve -- ideal for combining wine-tasting with a hike or a leisurely stroll.
